September in MyTubo Pictures

I started using MyTubo on my Andriod phone, and I love it.  Here are some of my favorite images from the month of September.

Chocolate cupcakes, minus their Nutella frosting.

Feeding the fish on Labor Day.

Reading all three books in The Hunger Games series in a week and a half.

Belly Boo and her Uncle Blake...these two together make me smile.

Making jewelry.  So much fun.

Belly Boo playing with modeling clay and having so much fun.

Cheers to the weekend and having friends over for dinner.

My sweet little Mar-Mar.

An adorable Etsy order.

Flowers from my love.  So beautiful and perfect for fall.

Cape May: The Flowers

As much as I love the homes in Cape May, the flowers that are all around in their gardens really won me over this year.  So many different varieties and colors and wonderful smells.  Absolutely beautiful!

Not a Green Thumb

I'm really horrible at taking care of plants.  They last a month or two and then they just kind of wither and die.  It's pretty sad, actually.  Which is why I was so surprised when these lovely lilies just sprouted and took off by our front lamp post.  I didn't do anything, except for plant them last year, and didn't expect them to come back at all.

But they did.  And they're beautiful.  So thank you, garden gods for making me look like I at least have some sort of pale green thumb.  Especially next to my neighbors beautiful constantly blooming garden.

May Flowers

After all the rain in April (and let's face it, May as well), we were basically guaranteed beautiful flowers this spring, and we've got them.

My Weekend

This past weekend Belly Boo and I traveled back to good ole Berks County while the Hubs was at drill doing his thing for the weekend.  It was the first time that I was home since the beach in June, so it was nice to be back.

On Saturday morning my aunt came to visit.  I always love getting to spend time with her, she is totally awesome and someone that I really look up to.  She's got great taste!  Later that afternoon we picked up my brother from work and went shopping.  We got two pairs of shoes for Belly Boo.  She hates wearing them....it's a disaster.  Things have gotten better with them though, and she wore them for almost two hours today.  We stopped in for a quick visit at my Nana and Pop-pop's house where I took so pretty photos of her flowers.  I hope that I can be half the green thumb that she is one day.

Sunday was a major baking spree.  I made 3 chocolate cakes with peanut butter icing, all from scratch.  I substituted Hershey's Special Dark cocoa powder for the regular cocoa powder and it was so much better.  Yum.  Then later that night we met up with my friend Meg from high school for some drinks.  Please note: Not a fan of the Washington apple shot.

Monday morning we packed up and made our way to Maryland to spend the day with the Hub's side of the family.  I drove from Lancaster to our final destination which was so much fun and learned how to drive "manual" on the Passat.  So much fun.

Pictures from the weekend!
