Happy 2nd Birthday, Belly Boo!

At 8:14 am two years ago, I held my little girl for the first time, and at 8:14 this morning, she turned two.  I can hardly believe that the little life that started two years ago is my adorable little toddler that is running and playing and starting to talk to me in this adorable little jibberish that only a few people can understand.

I love being her mommy so much, and I can't wait to celebrate the rest of her birthdays in the years to come.

My Blog Should Really Be Titled...

Diary of an absentee blogger, because I've been so out of it lately.  Truth be told, though, a lot has happened since my lovely little vacation at the end of June.

The biggest news is that I have a job!  Yay!  I'll be starting part time work with a local bank in the next few weeks.  I start my two weeks of training on Monday morning and I'm super excited about it!

We also just bought a new car!  Double yay!  It's a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta and I can't wait to pick it up!  Hopefully by Monday it will be ours!

And I've also been super busy getting ready for Belly Boo's 2nd Birthday party this weekend.  I'm sure I'll eventually have a few posts about that, too. :-)

Zooing it Up

My mom and I took Belly Boo to the Cape May Zoo one morning, and it was a total blast!  I haven't been there since I was probably a young teenager, and we figured it would be something fun to do.

We toured through most of the exhibits - birds, jungle animals, reptiles, big cats, and animals that were native to North America.  Even though it was a bit crowded at some exhibits, it was still really awesome!  Belly Boo really loved the reptile house and the birds.  My personal favorite were the squirrels that were hanging out in the bird cages.  Cohabitation at its finest!

OCNJ: A Trip to See the Hubs

While we were on vacation, the hubs was busy touring around PA, NJ, and DE playing concerts for the Air National Guard.  Unfortunately we couldn't make it to a show last year, but were able to see him play in Ocean City, NJ while Belly Boo and I were on vacation.

We drove up with my mom and brother, grabbed some dinner and enjoyed the concert.  Belly Boo was really happy to see and snuggle up to her daddy! Leaving was a little tough for me, though!

The last pictures just melts my heart...those two together just make my heart melt!

Cape May: The Flowers

As much as I love the homes in Cape May, the flowers that are all around in their gardens really won me over this year.  So many different varieties and colors and wonderful smells.  Absolutely beautiful!

Cape May: The Houses

If there is one trip I look forward to every year at the beach, it's going to Cape May to look at all the beautiful Victorian styled homes and their gardens.  They are just so beautiful and well kept, and it's an overall lovely little beach town.  There's plenty of amazing bed and breakfasts, cute little shops and candy stores to please everyone.

So much detail, so much beauty.  I could seriously walk on those streets all day long and not care if I get lost. I can't wait to go back next year!

The Beach at Sunset

There's one thing I love, and that's the beach at sunset.  The colors are just so soft and magical, and I hardly had to edit my photos at all.  It was seriously just perfect.

Belly Boo loved the beach again this year.  She was definitely more into the sand than the ocean, and loved to dig.  Every once in awhile she would find a poor seagull to chase, and would wave goodbye to it when it decided to fly away.

Back from the Beach

Okay, so I've really been back since Friday night, but I'm finally getting around to posting now.  After laundry, unpacking, and a family picnic yesterday, I'm still kind of exhausted.  Don't worry, though...all things beach related will be coming this week!
